David Hundeyin Biography

David Hundeyin was born on the 6th of May, 1990, in Lagos State, which falls in the southwestern geopolitical zone of Nigeria. He hails and grew up in Lagos State. He had his primary school education in Grange School, after which he attended Atlantic Hall for his secondary school education. David went further to the University of Hull for his bachelor’s degree studies and later graduated in 2011.

Career

David Hundeyin joined KPMG UK as a project assistant in 2012. In 2013, he began employment with Direct Group Limited as a Sales and Service Adviser. He then advanced to the post of account executive in 2014.

David Hundeyin is a Nigerian columnist and journalist. He has worked with and written for many domestic and foreign media sources. CNN, Business Day, The African Report, The New Yorker Magazine, and Netflix have all published his writings. David Hundeyin served as a television writer for Channels Television’s Other News from 2017 to 2018. In 2018, he started working as a freelance reporter for Beln Crypto and as the Head of Content for BHM Group Nigeria.

In 2019, he started working as a contributing writer and columnist for News Wire NGR and Business Day, respectively. Since February 2020, David Hundeyin has written columns for Vanguard publications, and since December 2019, he has served as the West African Correspondent for The African Report.

On the 14th of April 2021, David Hundeyin called out the Minister for Communication, Dr. Isa Pantami, to resign from his ministerial position after David got a leaked voice record that revealed the minister’s involvement in the Boko Haram insurgency terrorizing the country. David Hundeyin post it on his Twitter handle that he will upload a complete and unedited audio recording of a sermon Dr. Isa Pantami gave in Bauchi in 2006 in which he publicly supported the Afghan Taliban and Al Qaeda and their efforts to assassinate “unbelievers” and impose Sharia law.
