Latest Arsenal injury news and return dates ahead of Leeds clash

Arsenal’s inconsistent season continued on Sunday as the Gunners were beaten 3-0 at home by Aston Villa.

An own goal from Bukayo Saka and a second-half brace from Ollie Watkins ensured the Gunners failed to make it four wins on the spin across all competitions

With some of Arsenal’s players set to be away for a couple of weeks on international duty, it gives Arteta a chance to reflect on events at the Emirates Stadium with no game until Leeds United on November 22.

The break in the season may have come at the perfect time as the few players currently out injured can step up their recovery and perhaps be in contention for the trip to Elland Road

With that said, here is the latest news on the Gunners’ sidelined players and when they can expect to return to fitness.

The £45m summer signing was replaced at half-time against Villa with a thigh problem and Arteta is waiting for confirmation regarding the extent of the injury.

We don’t know [the extent] of it,” the Gunners manager said. “We have to scan him tomorrow or the day after and see what he felt straight away.

“Let’s wait and see what the magnitude of the injury is.

“I don’t know [if he will go away with Ghana now]. As I said, the doctor will have to have a look at him and probably scan him.

Then we will decide what to do with him.”

It has now been confirmed that Partey will not join up with the Ghana squad during the international break, as he bids to recover in time for the Leeds clash.
