Asue Ighodalo was born on July 19, 1959 in Nigeria. He completed his early education at Kings College, Lagos before he proceeded to International School, Ibadan where he earned his WAEC result.

Asue Ighodalo went to the University of Ibadan where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics. He also holds a Bachelor of Laws from the London School of Economics & Political Science. He was called to the Nigerian Bar School in 1984.

Career

Asue Ighodalo began his career as an Associate in the law firm of Chris Ogunbanjo & Co. He is the founding partner of Banwo & Ighodalo alongside Femi Olubawo. He has many years of experience in Corporate Finance, Capital Markets, Energy; Natural Resources, Mergers; Acquisitions, Securitization, and Project Finance.

Asue Ighodalo has authored many articles in leading law publications and has also written several papers on capital markets both local and international. He also served as a lecturer at the Institute of Directors, Lagos Business School, and FATE Foundation entrepreneurial training respectively.

Asue Ighodalo served as Chairman of several firms including Sterling Bank, Dangote Flour Mills Plc, and The Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG). He also serves as a board member for several organizations both in the private and public sectors.
